We happened to be in Weribee around iftar time, and wanted to find a halal restaurant that we could enjoy. Unfortunately the restaurant we went to was not open even though we waited after their advertised business hours. Not wanting to give up on breaking fast outdoors, we decided to try Cheeky Chewies II – the second branch of a fusion eatery whom we’ve reviewed at their branch in Laverton. The layout and decor is pretty much the same as their first location; this one in Weribee is smaller. And it did seem that when we were there there were more people taking away their orders rahter than eating in. We ordered the vegetarian spring roll, crunchy chicken salad, tom yum soup and ‘Chewies’ s beef stew’. This restaurant has a lot of menu items because they provide food from a range of cultures; for me their portions are a bit too big but for others they may be just right.

Saat kami berada di Weribee waktu iftar kami benar-benar merasa lapar dan ingin mencari restauran halal yang kami bisa nikmati. Sayangnya restauran yang kami tuju tidak buka walau kami menunggu mereka sampai lewat waktu jam bisnisnya . Tak putus asa akhirnya kami memutuskan untuk makan di Cheeky Chewies yang pernah kami review di branch mereka yang berada di Laverton. Tata ruang dan dekorasi hampir sama dengan toko pertama mereka hanya yang di Weribee ini lebih kecil. Dan memang kelihatannya saat kami berada disana lebih banyak orang yang mengambil pesanannya daripada makan ditempat. Kami memesan vegetarian spring roll, crunchy chicken salad, sup tom yum dan ‘Chewies’ s beef stew’. Rumah makan ini mempunyai banyak sekali menu karena mereka menyediakan makanan dari beberapa budaya, juga untuk saya porsi mereka terlalu besar tetapi mungkin untuk sebagian orang tidak.
