After a long time always writing about halal restaurants that we can enjoy, I wondered why not sometimes try vegan food that we can also eat? What a coincidence – my daughter just ate with her old friend in a vegan restaurant which is beautifully decorated in my opinion. It is not just a restaurant but also has an attached store selling groceries and knick-knacks for the home, like Zoobibi.

The friendly wait staff let me explore the room moving from one seat to another (we were there in a quiet period just before the kitchen closed). It seemed he knew I was admiring the atmosphere around the spacious and comfortable space. We chose the Caprese avocado toast with vegan mozzarella and kale pesto, and sweet potato gnocchi with shiitake mushrooms grilled in truffle oil, for a late lunch with my usual cappuccino (which was decent). Everything felt healthy to eat-not too heavy even though it was filling.

After eating, we went shopping for groceries and also some halal snacks that were sold there.

Setelah lama aku selalu menulis tentang halal restaurant yang bisa kita nikmati, aku berfikir kenapa sesekali kita mencoba makanan vegan yang juga kita bisa makan. Kebetulan sekali anakku baru saja makan dengan teman lamanya direstaurant vegan yang sangat cantik menurutku. Tidak hanya restaurant tapi juga ada groceries dan pernak-pernik untuk decorasi rumah. Hampir mirip tempat makan Zoobibi.

Pelayan yang ramah membiarkan aku meng – explore ruangan berpindah dari satu tempat duduk ketempat duduk lain. Sepertinya dia tahu aku sedang mengagumi suasana sekitar ruangan yang luas dan nyaman. Kami memilih Caprese avocado toast dengan mozzarella vegan dan kale pesto, dan gnocchi (pasta) ubi dengan jamur shiitake yang di bakar pakai minyak truffle, untuk makan siang yang sudah terlewat. Juga seperti biasa cappuccino yg lumayan rasanya. Semuanya terasa sehat untuk dimakan.
