My daughter and granddaughter have long recommended Golden Noodle House in the Pointcook area. (There are two halal Golden Noodle House branches – the other is in Box Hill). This was the first time I’ve had the time to visit. When we arrived, the restaurant was already busy, even though it wasn’t dinner time. The atmosphere was very comfortable and the capacity was quite large. The waitress didn’t smile. I don’t know if she always does that. The wall decorations were very cute. Although the restaurant isn’t large, everything looked neat and felt spacious. As I browsed the menu, I noticed the generous noodle portions. I chose spicy lamb skewers, pan-fried beef and scallions, special biang-biang noodles, and a Chinese soft drink. The menu was clear on the wait time which would be around 15 minutes. The spicy lamb skewers arrived first and were quite tasty, as I love lamb. After that came dumplings, which could be eaten with soy sauce or chili sauce. Lastly, the special biang-biang noodles arrived, which were flavour m-packed and in a generous portion size. When we left, there was no acknowledgement from the wait staff of the sort you might receive in other places. 

Sudah lama anak dan cucuku menyarankan aku untuk mencoba Golden Noodle House di daerah Pointcook ini. (Cabang mereka di Box Hill juga halal.) Baru kali ini aku sempatkan mendatanginya. Ketika aku datang restauran sudah banyak pembelinya sedangkan belum waktu makan malam. Suasana restauran sangat nyaman dan berkapasitas lumayan besar. Pelayan yang melayani tidak memperlihatkan senyum. Aku tidak tahu apakah dia selalu begitu atau tidak. Decorasi didinding kelihatan sangat “cute”. Walaupun restauran ini tidak besar tetapi semua terlihat rapih & terasa luas. Mulai menyusuri menu didaftar menu, terlihat porsi noodle yg besar. Aku memilih lamb skewer yang spicy, Pan Fried Beef & Scallion dan Special Biang Biang Noddle serta Chinese soft drink. Didaftar menu sudah diterangkan bahwa waktu menunggu kurang lebih 15 menit. Spicy Lamb Skewer datang paling awal, lumayan enak karena aku memang suka lamb. Setelah itu Dumpling yang bisa dimakan dengan sambal kecap atau kecap tanpa cabai yang tersedia dimeja. Yang terakhir datang Special Biang Biang noodle yang cukup enak dengan porsi yang besar. Ketika kami keluar pun tidak ada sapaan dari pelayan yang biasa kami terima ditempat lain.
