Twice we went to this cafe to review it – the first time we checked on Google on a public holiday it mentioned they were open but apparently they were closed that day. We finally got there on the second try even though it was a bit late that day. Unfortunately we were told by the second staff member who spoke to us that we couldn’t order off the written menu. I loved the warm welcome by the first staff member who greeted us with warm smiles. Why do I mention this? Well all restaurants or cafes ideally have their waiters smile and be friendly regardless of who their customers are. This friendly wait staff member (the first one) provided excellent service until we left. Frankly, this cafe is very comfortable. You can choose to sit inside or outside; there are several cafes on and around Albert Street but this one is 100% halal. It has an interesting menu and dessert on display in the glass cabinet. We chose a baguette with beef similar to sucuk or Turkish salami and a chicken wrap which was delicious and cookies topped with Oreos and Biscoff to eat there and take home. As coffee fans, of course we ordered cappuccinos which were serviceable for me. So if you are in South Melbourne this is a great place to consider for breakfast, brunch or lunch.
Dua kali kami ke cafe ini untuk mereview…yang pertama kami check di Google pada libur nasional mereka buka tapi ternyata mereka tutup hari itu. Tidak putus asa karena kami ingin mencobanya akhirnya kami sampai disana walau saat itu agak telat. Malangnya kami diberi tahu oleh pelayan kedua yang menemui kami bahwa kami tidak bisa memesan dari menu yang tertulis. Aku suka penyambutan oleh pelayan yang pertama yang dengan ramah dan penuh senyum menyambut kami. Mengapa aku menceritakan ini karena semua restaurant / cafe harus mendidik pelayan mereka untuk senyum dan ramah tanpa melihat siapa pembeli mereka. Alhamdulillah pelayan yang ramah ini yang melayani kami sampai kami meninggalkan cafe ini. Terus terang cafe ini sangat nyaman tempatnya. Anda bisa memilih duduk didalam atau diluar kelihatan sama nyamannya. Ada beberapa cafe juga disitu, tetapi ini yang 100%halal. Menu yang sangat menarik dan dessert terpampang dilemari kaca. Kami memilih baguette dengan daging sapi (mirip sucuk atau salami Turkey) dan ayam wrap yang enak. Juga dessert cookie dengan Oreo dan Biscoff untuk makan disana dan dibawa pulang. Sebagai penggemar kopi pastilah kami memesan cappuccino yang buatku standard. Jadi kalau anda berada di South Melbourne tempat ini bagus untuk dipertimbangkan pada waktu breakfast, brunch dan lunch.
