Crowded House Cafe

We were in the bayside suburb of Williamstown (a fairly expensive area property-wise for Melbourne) and we were looking for a place for lunch. My daughter remembered a clean cafe where she and her husband once stopped for food after a bike ride. It seemed as if this business had middle eastern influences, and did not contain items forbidden to be eaten by Muslims. Long story short, this cafe used halal suppliers according to staff who spoke to my son in law. The place is very comfortable and when it’s summer weather at the back there is a large courtyard where you can enjoy your coffee & food.
As a fan of coffee, their coffee is delicious and today I ordered two cups. The cheesecake we had for dessert was very soft, not like in other cafes that are less soft. My daughter ordered a beef shepherd’s pie while I ordered corn avocado and haloumi fritters which were suitable for Indonesian tastes which favour something spicy or sour. Very friendly service. Hopefully you’ll be pleased with what I plan to write more of here, after a long absence from the blog!
