House of Mandi sits in the same part of Racecourse Road as Hashtag SomaliEats and New Somali Kitchen. Though it shares similarities with them (wonderful service, menu standards like rice and basto, complimentary soup) there are a couple of differences that pay homage to the mixed Yemeni and Somali cuisine. The soup is thicker with more meat, and the menu is spoken (reminiscent of Macmacaanka, where you head to the counter and ask the friendly brother what’s cooking). And if your group is lucky enough to snare it there’s a Yemeni style booth where seating is on the floor on soft carpets and cushions.

Supnya lebih kental dengan lebih banyak daging, dan menu tidak tertulis (seperti Macmacaanka, di mana harus menuju ke counter dan bertanya kepada pelayan yang ramah apa yang sedang dimasak). Dan jika teman-teman beruntung untuk dapatnya, ada meja gaya Yaman di mana tempat duduk berada di lantai dengan karpet dan bantal yang empuk.
