Another modern and cool take on high tea in Melbourne that provides a halal menu. It’s in the lobby of the Westin Hotel. This English style afternoon tea event is very enjoyable, with tea or coffee accompanied by savory food, sweets and finger food, while chatting with friends or family. This afternoon we were provided with two kinds of scones (one traditional and one red velvet) along with cream and jam. For finger food, there are halal wagyu beef sandwiches, spinach and fetta pastries which are very tasty and different, brioche buns with salmon cucumber and matcha, and orange gari and carrot gazpacho (a kind of cold soup from Spain). For the sweets, we had white chocolate éclairs, yuzu tarts, mango pinacolada gateaux, ruby chocolate and strawberry bars, and smoked meringue and passionfruit verrine…all of them are delicious. Of course we couldn’t finish this much food, and we can take leftover treats home. So, for fans of high tea this elegant spot is the right place for you and definitely a place we’ll return to.

Acara minum teh sore gaya Inggris ini sangat menyenangkan, disamping kita menikmati teh atau kopi yang ditemani tiga jenis makanan savoury, sweets and finger food, kita bisa juga ngobrol-ngobrol bersama teman atau keluarga. Sore ini kami disediakan dua macam scone, satu traditional dan satu lagi red velvet scone beserta cream dan selai. Untuk finger food ada wagyu beef halal sandwich, spinach dan fetta pastries yang sangat enak dan berbeda dengan yang pernah kami makan juga roti brioche bun dengan salmon cucumber dan matcha serta orange gari dan carrot gazpacho, sejenis sup dingin dari Spanyol. Untuk sweetnya ada white chocolate éclair, yuzu tart, mango pinacolada gateaux, ruby chocolate and strawberry bar, dan smoked meringue and passionfruit verrine…semuanya enak. Tentu saja makanan sebanyak ini tidak bisa kami habiskan, dan kita bisa membawa pulang. Nah, untuk penggemar ngopi-ngopi sore tempat ini adalah tempat yang tepat dan elegant untuk anda. Buat kami kedatangan kami sudah pasti bukan untuk sekali saja.
