This Friday was the perfect day to meet up with an Indonesian Youtuber who lives in Melbourne. She asked us to choose a restaurant or cafe not far from where she lived. There are many halal places in this area. Our choice was a cafe that provides food from Turkey; I don’t know why but I love the bread made by our Muslim brothers and sisters from this country. This cafe is not too big but comfortable enough to have coffee there. They have some outside seating too. When we were there many customers did not eat inside but took away for home or the office. We ordered three decaf cappuccinos, toasted sandwiches with sucuk (a form of Turkish salami), borek (crispy bread stuffed with minced meat) and rice pudding. We were served with a friendly smile. So if you are in the Broadmeadows area, don’t be afraid of a shortage of good halal restaurants or cafes like this one. Enjoy.

Selamat mencobanya.
