Our second culinary adventure in the open air took us to see planes landing near Melbourne airport – specifically on the corner of Sunbury and Oaklands roads. There we can enjoy the sight of planes descending right above our heads at a fairly close distance. When we got there we saw not only small children who came with their parents but also teenagers and adults.
What motivated us to go there was the availability of halal food by means of a large food truck. There you can buy hot dogs, french fries, potato cakes, cheese or meat gozleme, dim sum and HSP (halal snack packs). Only one thing that’s regretful on a hot day like today is that the truck doesn’t sell the crowd favorite ice coffee. I think this place can be good for a light family picnic in the open air in a pandemic.

Kulineran kedua ditempat terbuka kami menjatuhkan pilihan dilintas pendaratan pesawat terbang disekitar Bandara Melbourne tepatnya pertemuan jalanan Sunbury dan Oaklands. Disana kita bisa menikmati pesawat-pesawat yang mendarat tepat diatas kepala kita denga jarak cukup dekat. Setibanya kami disana terlihat bukan saja anak-anak kecil yang datang dengan orang tuanya tapi juga remaja dan orang dewasa. Yang mendorong kami kesana adalah tersedianya makanan halal disebuah Food Truck besar. Disitu kita bisa membeli Hot dog, kentang goreng/chips, potato cake, gozleme keju atau daging, dim sim serta HSP atau halal snack pack. Hanya satu hal ylang saya sesalkan dihari panas seperti hari ini mereka tidak menjual ice coffee atau capuchino kesukaanku. Saya fikir tempat ni bisa merupakan suatu solusi untuk piknik ringan keluarga diudara terbuka dalam keadaan pandemik.
