The atmosphere of this restaurant makes you feel just like you are in Jakarta (I like Padang food which is everywhere in the capital, but I have never been to Sumatra). The difference is the level of spiciness which has been adjusted to the palettes of Melbournians. For people who like spiciness, though, don’t be disappointed because there is a “sambal hijau pedas” or hot green chilli paste to add to your meal. In this eatery you order rice and various side dishes that are visible in the bain marie or items which are written on the back of the cash register. Unfortunately we just found out there are other menu items after ordering food. The service is friendly enough, and the presentation is the same as most Indonesian restaurants. The room decor or appearance still needs improvement. It’s very much a student oriented eatery at RMIT’s Tivoli building ground floor. Also for people who like salt, this restaurant is for you. Enjoy.

Selamat mencoba.
