Soul Origin (Epping)

Epping is quite far for us to go to regularly (my daughter calls it ‘God-forsaken Epping’) but we have a few family friends there. A couple of these friends recommended Soul Origin, a casual eatery just inside one of the main entrances (near the Westpac bank) of Epping Plaza. They had noticed the halal certificate displayed near the cash register.

When we met up with these friends for lunch Soul Origin’s soup, salad, and sandwich based menu was perfect for the cold winter day. We opted for two of the soups on offer that day (beef ghoulash and chicken and corn) and a chicken focaccia, while our friends had a range of healthy but filling salads. If you’re out this way and want to try the place please be aware that bacon is on the menu but staff (including their Muslim workers) say it is prepared separately.
