One of the best things at Meat and Wine Co is the wait staff’s familiarity with the requirements of halal. Just mention to them that you need a halal meal and they will let you know which of their mouthwatering beef cuts can be prepared accordingly. This time round I didn’t even have to say anything. As I mulled which side to order with my fillet steak, the friendly waiter explained that the chips had to be prepared with the same fryer as some of their non-halal food (unlike the steaks which were made with specific utensils on request by Muslim customers). He suggested broccolini or salad as a side instead. We opted for a delicious haloumi entree, and to cap off the meal some well made coffee with the apple pie dessert. Book well ahead for Friday or Saturday nights

Salah satu hal terbaik di Meat and Wine Co adalah pekerja yang tahu persyaratan halal. Jika kita memberitahu mereka bahwa kita perlu makanan yang halal, mereka akan memberi tahu yang mana steak daging sapi lezat yang dapat disiapkan secara halal. Kali ini saya bahkan tidak perlu mengatakan apa pun.

Waktu saya lagi berfikir makanan sampingan mana untuk fillet steak yang saya pilih, pelayan yang ramah menjelaskan bahwa kentang goreng mereka disiapkan dengan alat penggoreng yang sama seperti beberapa makanan non-halal mereka (tidak seperti steak yang dibuat dengan peralatan khusus, atas permintaan pelanggan Muslim). Dia menyarankan broccolini atau salad sebagai makanan sampingannya. Kali ini kami memilih appetiser atau makanan pembukaan haloumi yang lezat, dan untuk makanan penutup kopi dengan apple pie. Booking jauh-jauh hari untuk malam Sabtu atau malam Minggu, karena tempat ini banyak disukai orang.
