After accompanying my daughter to a physiotherapy appointment in the  Melbourne CBD, we remembered a Uyghur restaurant we’d visited before I had this blog. It turns out the restaurant had moved to Lonsdale Street near Hardware Lane. When we entered, the door was opened for us, and we were greeted warmly, and given a table. There were already several customers for lunch. Soon after more customers arrived, including for takeout, and food delivery drivers picking up orders. We ordered three dishes and two portions of rice to share: stir-fried lamb with crispy fried naan, garlic prawns with vegetables, and cucumber salad. They provided complimentary water, and we also ordered our favorite drink (ayran) and a sugar-free soft drink. All the dishes we ordered were delicious, with the signature spices of Uyghur cuisine. The new space was clean and tidy, and the service fast. If you’re in the CBD and want to try authentic halal Uyghur food, please give it a try.

Kembali dari menemani anakku physiotherapy di pusat kota Melbourne, kami teringat restauran Uyghur yang pernah kami datangi sebelum aku punya account dan blog ‘Halal Culinary Adventures’. Ternyata mereka pindah posisi di Lonsdale Street dekat Hardware Lane. Ketika kami masuk sudah dibukakan pintu dan disapa dengan ramah serta menyilahkan kami bertiga duduk. Sudah ada beberapa pembeli disitu. Tak lama kami duduk pun bertambah pembeli yang datang juga yang take-away atau pesanan untuk diantar. Kami mulai memesan tiga menu mereka dan dua porsi nasi. Stir-fried lamb with crispy fried naan, Garlic Prawn dengan sayuran, dan salad ketimun. Untuk minuman disamping mereka menyediakan air gratis dan kami juga memesan minuman favourit kami (ayran) dan soft drink tanpa gula. Semua makakanan yang kami pesan terasa enak dengan bumbu authentic mereka yang khas.  Ruangan bersih teratur, pelayanan cepat. Apabila anda berada di CBD dan ingin mencoba makanan Uyghur halal yang autentik silahkan mencobanya.
