After picking up a catering order in Clayton, we looked for a halal restaurant nearby. Tiffin Box caught our attention as they’re halal-certified, and we were already familiar with the area. It’s just a few steps from the Indonesian community mosque in Westall. I love the way they interact with customers – they’re very friendly…this vibe is crucial for people to feel comfortable trying an eatery or restaurant. The place is also clean with simple decor that’s not overdone. We ordered the kathi roll which had just the right amount of flavour, and the fish box meal – the fish was crispy and lathered in tasty spices. They have a wide selection of options, including a kids’ menu, and the prices are affordable. One thing which I really liked and which is something I rarely find in casual eateries like this was the coffee, which deserves a thumbs up; as a coffee lover, trust me their coffee is delicious. The only flaw was the mismatched colors of the cups and saucers. Honestly, I’d go back to try the biryani and the butter chicken burger which looked delicious. So if you are around the Indonesian mosque in the Clayton/Westall part of southeast Melbourne and like fusion street and western food influenced by Calcutta this place is a must try.

Dalam perjalanan sehabis mengambil pesanan lemper ayam di Clayton, kami mencari tempat makan yg halal disekitar daerah ini.  Tiffin Box telah mencuri perhatian kami. Pertama mereka certified halal kedua kami sudah mengenal daerah ini. Tempatnya hanya beberapa langkah dari masjid kommunitas Indonesia di Westall. Saya suka cara mereka interaksi kepada pembeli, sangat ramah… ini yang utama bila kita mau pembeli nyaman mencoba apa yang kita sediakan ditempat makan kita. Juga ruangan yang bersih serta decorasi yang tidak berlebihan. Kami memesan vegetable Kathi Roll yg rasanya pas tidak kelebihan bumbu & Fish Box Meal yang renyah dan tidak bau amis. Banyak pilihan dari menu mereka juga tersedia Kids Menu plus harga yang terjangkau.  Satu yang sangat-sangat aku suka yang jarang aku dapatkan ditempat makan yang sejenis ini adalah kopi yang perlu diacungkan jempol; aku penggemar kopi jadi percayalah kopi mereka memang enak. Hanya satu kesalahan warna cangkir dan piring tataknya tidak matching. Terus terang aku akan kembali mencoba nasi biryani, dan butter chicken burgernya yang kelihatan enak. Sayang saat kami kesana kami tidak begitu lapar.  Jadi untuk anda yang sedang berada disekitar masjid Westall dan menyukai masakan dari Calcutta dan Barat yang berbeda, tempat ini wajib dicoba.
