Good news for those in Melbourne who love halal Japanese food; there’s now a halal Japanese-Thai fusion take-away spot in the city. If you are lucky you can grab one of just five seats, at tiny Ta – ke Don. But don’t be disappointed if they’re taken because you can bring your take-away to a nearby food court like we did. The normal size menu items with typical Japanese flavors plus rice is just right for the size of our appetites. The seafood menu items are only available in large, like the one I chose “Tempura Prawns with Thai Chilli and Basil Sauce”. Here the prices are very affordable. The service was very fast even though at that time seven of us ordered different rice bowls and drinks. We were all satisfied with our choices such as Chicken Katsu, Chicken Karaage, and Crispy Tofu. After you choose between meat, tofu or seafood, you then select a sauce from Thai chilli and basil, Thai green curry, Japanese curry, or teriyaki. They also have various soft drinks and cold Thai milk tea. We suggest trying this fast, quick and affordable food which you can also eat outdoors while enjoying the fresh air.

Kabar gembira buat orang-orang yang menyenangi makanan dari Jepang yang halal, sekarang ada take away atau kalau anda beruntung bisa duduk disitu untuk sekedar makan saja. Tapi jangan kecewa karena anda bisa membawa take-away anda ke food court terdekat seperti yang kami lakukan. Porsi ukuran normal dengan rasa khas Jepang ditambah nasi pas sekali dengan ukuran perut kami. Ada juga ukuran yang sedikit lebih besar seperti yang aku pilih “Large Tempura Prawns with Thai Chilli and Basil Sauce” dan ada lagi yang perlu diketahui – harganya sangat sangat  terjangkau. Service sangat cepat walaupun saat itu kami bertujuh memesan makanan dan minuman yang berbeda.  Kami semua puas dengan pilihan kami seperti Chicken Katsu, Chicken Karaage, dan Crispy Tofu. Setelah anda memilih diantara daging, tahu atau seafood, lalu memilih saus-nya dari Thai chilli and basil, Thai green curry, Japanese curry, or teriyaki.  (Kalau menu seafood hanya ada ukuran besar.) Mereka juga ada berbagai jenis minuman seperti soft drink dan teh susu dingin Thailand. Saran kami cobalah makanan ini , anda bisa juga membawanya sebagai bekal untuk makan ditaman terdekat sambil menikmati udara luar yang segar.
