Off a small Brunswick side street, we found Vola Foods which serves up cuisine from Cameroon, Africa. At this food truck with outdoor seating you’ll find this country’s signature dishes and it’s all halal. When we entered, we were greeted with a smile by the wait staff who invited us to take a seat. The dining area outside has several heaters with wooden tables and benches lined up. There is no other decoration apart from some abstract graffiti on the wall and small pots on the table. The food is the star though – we ordered BBQ lamb with cassava chips and fufu with tomato stew which tasted delicious. We also ordered plaintains which are like fried bananas in our country – they were also very tasty. If you want to try halal Cameroonian food, this is the place.

Ketika kami masuk, disambut senyum oleh pelayan yang menyilahkan kami duduk. Tempat duduk diluar diberi beberapa heater dengan meja dan bangku kayu yang berjejer. Tidak ada decorasi lain selain coretan abstrak didinding dan pot kecil dimeja. Kami memesan BBQ lamb dengan keripik singkong dan fufu dengan sup tomat yang rasanya enak. Juga kami memesan “plantain”, seperti pisang goreng dinegri kami, yang enak sekali. Kalau anda ingin mencoba makanan Cameroon yang halal disinilah tempatnya.
