Our last day in Berlin, Germany and we went to the middle of the city to look for brunch after my daughter, Dr Nasya Bahfen, completed her dream of taking part in the Berlin Marathon. Congratulations! The big and beautiful cafe that we chose was “Seven Heaven Breakfast”. Their menu has quite a lot of choices. This cafe seemed to specialise in middle eastern Jewish cuisine from the items on the menu. And honestly it’s very delicious, and reminded me of brunches in Melbourne. My husband and I chose the ‘big plate’ healthy breakfast which included three dips – so yummy, especially the humus which was very different to humus in Melbourne. My daughter ordered chicken salad and her husband ordered tasty toast with melted cheese and salad. We were very satisfied with these choices, accompanied by coffee that is very similar to Melbourne coffee. What added to the enjoyment was that we could eat in the open air without any flies bothering us. Maybe it was because it was autumn at the time. The water for drinking is fresh with the aroma of lemon and mint. The waiters were very friendly, and full of smiles from the receptionist to the waiter who served us. This was one of our breakfast experiences in a foreign country.

Hari terakhir di Berlin, Germany kami pergi ketengah-tengah kota untuk mencari breakfast. Saat itu anakku Dr Nasya Bahfen baru saja menyelesaikan cita-citanya ikut serta di Berlin Marathon. Congratulation nak! Cafe besar dan cantik yang kami pilih adalah “Seven Heaven Breakfast”. Menu mereka lumayan banyak pilihannya. Sepertinya cafe ini dimiliki oleh orang Yahudi kalau dilihat nama2 menunya. Dan sejujurnya sangat enak, teringat breakfast di Melbourne. Aku dan suamiku memilih ‘big plate’ healthy breakfast yang termasuk tiga dips – so yummy, terutama humusnya yang sangat berbeda dengan rasa humus di Melbourne. Putriku memesan chicken salad dan suaminya memesan toast with kiju yang meleleh sangat lezat dan salad. Kita sangat puas dengan pilihan-pilihan ini dengan disertai kopi yang yaaaa mirin-mirip lah dengan kopi Melbourne. Yang menambah kenikmatan lagi adalah kami bisa makan diudara terbuka tanpa ada lalat yang menganggu. Mungkin karena musim gugur disana. Air untuk minumpun fresh dengan aroma lemon dan mint. Pelayan-pelayannya sangat ramah penuh senyuman mulai dari receptionist sampai kepada pelayan yang melayani kami. Inilah salah satu pengalaman breakfast dinegri orang.
