Pelicana

We’re already spoilt for choice when it comes to halal Korean fried chicken in Melbourne (with Gami and Nene). But Pelicana sets itself apart with a lengthy list of non-chicken options.

The decor is very much “night time Seoul hangout joint” with barrel style tables and seats you may have seen on a K-drama. The premises are small, but takeaway is an option (or delivery if you live nearby).

There are two branches so far, in the CBD on Franklin Street (right near Indonesian street food hawkers Yoi) and in Coburg. We tried the city one and were met with the friendly service. The army stew was a highlight, along with the kimslaw (coleslaw with kimchi).
