I was really excited to see a social media post about a new “restaurant” whose name was a phrase in the dialect of a part of Indonesia known for having delicious, spicy cuisine. Sadly, my high expectations were not 100% fulfilled. Whether this was because the business just opened or the launch was rushed before all the details were finalised I am not sure. Hopefully the future will see improvements.

It looks like there are two businesses there – a restaurant and grocery store. Unfortunately, the cute and cool decor was let down by the view of packaging and boxes while patrons ate. The taste of the food could not yet be called authentic cuisine from the Sumatran region. But it’s certainly not bad and conveniently located for people who miss food from this part of Indonesia. Very friendly service…the plating arrangement is at the same level as other Indonesian restaurants. Enjoy trying it out!

Saya sangat bersamangat melihat salah satu postingan tentang “restaurant” dengan nama yang menggunakan bahasa daerah dimana kita semua tau menu dari daerah ini sangat enak. Rupanya harapan saya tidak 100% terpenuhi. Entah karena mereka baru saja buka, atau tergesa2-gesa membukanya saya tidak mengerti. Mudah-mudahan beberapa hari kedepan akan terlihat berbeda.

Sepertinya ada dua bisnis disana – rumah makan dan groceries. Sayang dengan dekorasi yang lumayan unik di rusak dengan pemandangan box-box selagi kita makan. Taste makanan belum mencapai authentic makanan asal daerahnya. Tapi cukup lumayan buat orang-orang yang rindu makanan Indonesia. Pelayanan sangat ramah…penataan dipiring sama seperti kita makan dirumah makan Indonesia yang lain. Selamat mencoba!
