HCA Jakarta (part 3)

We move briefly to East Jakarta, specifically Condet. The “Ajwad Resto and Souvenir Shop” that offers Middle Eastern cuisine is quite far from where I live in South Jakarta. The place isn’t that big and, in my opinion, less interesting decor-wise compared to similar restaurants. But honestly, the food here is done extremely well. And the prices are good value. My favourites are their Nasi Bukhari and Nasi Kabsah. The meat is cooked tenderly with flavoursome spices. The dish presentation is also nice, however service took a bit too long and the decor is in need of an update. I would advise anyone wanting to try this place to book a table first instead of walking in because the restaurant is quite crowded… perhaps because the owner is a celebrity amongst Indonesian Muslims.

Kita berpindah sebentar ke Jakarta timur, tepatnya di Condet. “Ajwad Resto and Souvenir Shop”  yang menyediakan masakan Timur Tengah ini lumayan jauh dari tempat tinggalku. Tempatnya tidak begitu besar and kurang menarik menurutku jika dibandingkan dengan restaurant-restaurant yang menyediakan makanan serupa. Tapi sejujurnya makanan dari restaurant ini sungguh lebih enak dari yang pernah aku datangi. Harganyapun jauh lebih murah. Nasi favouritku Nasi Bukhari dan Nasi Kabsahnya. Daging yang empuk dan bumbu yang enak. Presentation bagus, tapi pelayanan agak sedikit lama, dan decorasi masih jauh dari menarik. Anjuran dari saya untuk booking dulu sebelum datang karena restaurant ini cukup ramai . Mungkin saja karena pemiliknya orang yang sangat terkenal dikalangan Muslim di indonesia.

“Pondok Ujung Pandang”, Gandaria, is the right choice for seafood enthusiasts. This restaurant is near the Gandaria City mall, in South Jakarta. Three kinds of sambal are on offer, and all are really good. The grilled fish and sauteed kangkung (spinach) and paria (bitter melon) are both very tasty. The place is quite large and proves fast service, though the decor and presentation were nothing to write home about. According to my niece, this restaurant has long existed and continues to grow, expanding in size over time.

“ Pondok Ujung Pandang”, Gandaria adalah pilihan yang tepat untuk penggemar seafood. Restaurant ini berada disekitar mall Gandaria City di Jakarta Selatan. Tiga macam sambal yang bisa disatukan benar-benar enak. Ikan bakar dan tumis kangkung dan paria -nya sangat sedap rasanya. Tempat lumayan luas serta pelayanan cepat. Decorasi dan presentasi kelihatannya tidak begitu diperhatikan. Menurut keponakan ku restaurant ini sudah lama ada, dan terus berkembang maju serta ruangan-ruangannya pun bertambah luas.

“Bandar Djakarta” is a beachside restaurant in North Jakarta. It’s very spacious with nice views and live music. The wait staff can be seen singing happy birthday to customers; but be warned that it’s one of those places where before sitting down you choose what seafood you want to be cooked (so it’s really fresh, but not everyone is okay with the point and choose thing).

“Bandar Djakarta” adalah restaurant ditepi pantai di Jakarta Utara. Sangat luas dan bagus pemandangannya. Dilengkapi dengan live music dan pelayannya bisa membuat surprise menyanyikan happy birthday kalau ada yang berulang tahun. Yang lebih menarik lagi sebelum kita duduk kita memilih seafood apa yg kita mau, mau dimasak, apa, jadi benar -benar segar/fresh.

    belum pernah nyobain makanan timur tengah. tapi kayaknya enak :3

    karena deket dari condet kayaknya akan coba reservasi makan disitu deh.
